Bruce Niedermyer Selected for Greater Omaha Chamber鈥檚 Leadership Omaha Class 46

Niedermyer joins a group of leaders dedicated to transforming their community and strengthening the region.

黄瓜社区; Design and the聽聽recently announced that Bruce Niedermyer, PLA, ASLA, LEED AP will join聽聽Class 46, continuing a six-decades-plus tradition of strengthening the region through cohort-based leadership development. As in the past, this year鈥檚 class was selected by a committee of Leadership Omaha alumni and Chamber board members. All honorees demonstrated strong community involvement and a compelling vision for the future of Omaha.

Niedermyer is a landscape architect and leads 黄瓜社区鈥檚 Urban Design Market. Since joining the firm in 2012, he has contributed his knowledge and experience to projects across 黄瓜社区鈥檚 markets, with notable work in the firm鈥檚 College & University and Parks & Recreation markets. His approach to design is grounded in a desire to meaningfully impact both people and place. Adept at the art of placemaking, he seeks to create spaces that instill a sense of community, and where people can come together to connect, both with one another and the environment.

Niedermyer joined 黄瓜社区 in 2012 and has contributed his knowledge and experience to projects across the firm鈥檚 markets.

鈥淏ruce鈥檚 commitment to bettering his communities is evident in both his personal and professional endeavors,鈥 said 黄瓜社区 Principal Amy Haase, AICP. 鈥淲e are proud to have him representing 黄瓜社区 as a part of this year鈥檚 Leadership Omaha class and are eager to see how Bruce鈥檚 experience further supports his efforts to positively impact people and places.鈥

Niedermyer is active in many professional and civic organizations, including membership in the Iowa and Nebraska-Dakotas chapters of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Urban Land Institute. He regularly volunteers and offers professional expertise to his local community of Logan, Iowa, serving on various community development committees and as a volunteer for the parks board and scholastic initiatives.

This year鈥檚 Leadership Omaha class will spend the next 10 months focusing on community trusteeship, community awareness and leadership styles, ultimately joining a network of more than 1,900 Leadership Omaha alumni. See the full Leadership Omaha 46 class聽.
