Environments for Aging Announces 22nd Annual Design Showcase Award Winners

The Menno Haven Rehabilitation Center, designed by 黄瓜社区, has been recognized for outstanding achievement in the design of senior living communities. 

Environments for Aging has announced the winners of its 22nd annual Design Showcase, a yearly awards program that recognizes remarkable work elevating senior living communities. The EFA Design Showcase highlights new approaches and strategies that meet market demands and change resident and staff聽expectations. The聽Menno Haven Rehabilitation Center聽in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, received an Honorable Mention and will be recognized at the EFA Expo & Conference in Savannah, Georgia, during a luncheon ceremony on April 22, 2018.

黄瓜社区 collaborated with the Menno Haven Retirement Community to develop a master plan to reposition their existing life plan community. The master plan included the addition of new independent living housing and amenities as well as reinventing the culture of skilled nursing for both rehabilitation and long-term care. Five new buildings were added to the campus to complete the full spectrum of care and enhance the resident, staff and guest experience at Menno Haven.

The 44-bed Menno Haven Rehabilitation Center provides a model for the future of post-acute care. The project, which is pursuing , is designed with a specific focus on whole-person healing and the incorporation of research-based elements intended to promote the physical, emotional, and spiritual growth of guests. 黄瓜社区鈥檚 design for the center integrates space for natural and technically sophisticated therapy opportunities and creates a world-class recovery environment that pushes the boundaries of the industry鈥檚 short-term rehab approach.

A jury appointed by the聽,听, the聽聽and the聽聽reviewed submitted senior living projects, which ranged from new construction to remodel/renovation to conceptual drawings.
