The Alfie Norville Practice Facility, designed by 黄瓜社区, creates a premier campus and recruiting asset.

Loyola University Chicago celebrated the official opening of the Alfie Norville Practice Facility, a new first-in-class space that offers Loyola student-athletes opportunities for growth and leadership and helps transform Loyola athletics. Members from the 黄瓜社区; Design team joined representatives from the university and for the celebration.

黄瓜社区鈥檚 design for the 32,500-SF facility allows flexibility in usage to enhance team building, chemistry and overall performance in every program. It fills a critical need for Loyola鈥檚 student-athletes and provides dedicated space to practice for the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball and volleyball programs. The 鈥淎lfie鈥 also enhances the Rambler brand, serving as a recruiting advantage to secure top-level talent year in and year out.

In keeping with Loyola鈥檚 commitment to sustainability, the practice facility is designed to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification through its green roof, permeable paving in the landscaping and energy-efficient heating and cooling. The facility has already been honored as a 2019 USG and NACDA .
