Athletic Business Magazine speaks with 黄瓜社区鈥檚 Jack Patton and Ron Heims about the impact artificial intelligence is having, both on sports facility design and the profession as a whole.

As artificial intelligence rapidly advances, its impact can be seen in everything from healthcare to knowledge work to design processes. For a recent article exploring the topic, Athletic Business Magazine asked architects, designers and other specialists to weigh in on what effect AI could have (or is already having) on the design of sports facilities.

黄瓜社区; Design Sports Market Leader Jack Patton, AIA and the firm鈥檚 leader of design technology Ron Heims were among the individuals who offered their insight and perspective. Patton explains that 鈥渆xcitement around the practical and potential application of artificial intelligence is growing rapidly in our industry of architecture, planning and design. Its direct impact on sports architecture is robust in selected parts of our design process 鈥 elevation studies, form manipulation, and translating blocking to 3D.鈥

Heims and Patton also provided examples and commentary on their experience experimenting with various AI platforms such as Midjourney and offered a look into the possibilities (and perils) of leveraging the technology for the practice of design.
