The setting of Colby Park in the Windsor Heights community provided a unique opportunity for the development of a community center and regional performance pavilion.
The community center echoes the architectural character of the region. The center is positioned within the park to maximize usable outdoor space and enhance the user's indoor and outdoor experience. The facility is designed to accommodate 150 guests in a round table setting with overflow seating on the outdoor plaza for an additional 50 guests. The performance pavilion and surrounding plaza space have the capacity to host large events such as concerts and jazz festivals, while also accommodating smaller events such as poetry readings or high school plays.
