Inspired by the beauty that surrounds the site, the South Port Waterfront Development Plan focuses on connecting the Mississippi River and the City of Dubuque through a transformative design for all.
This 30-acre development features a combination of public and private uses - from dog parks and distilleries to beaches and boardwalks - creating a high quality of life with numerous amenities, just a few steps away. The plan puts the pedestrian first - serving as a benchmark district within the City. The working river and active harbor are maintained, giving residents an opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Mississippi while symbolically honoring the former uses of the site.
