Center
Palmer College of Chiropractic's commitment to elevating the student experience resulted in the transformation of its existing recreation and athletic facility. Originally known as Alumni Auditorium, our design renovates the space into a 46,000-SF modern, amenity-filled campus hub now known as the R. Richard Bittner Athletic & Recreation Center.
Demolition of all non-structural portions of the building accommodated two new additions and opened up what used to be a windowless box. Our design also creates a new south lobby, which offers access to a skywalk link. The link connects to the campus skywalk system, allowing for year-round indoor access. The original auditorium has been renovated into a space solely dedicated to sports and recreation activities. Designed in collaboration with Studio 483.
